Our Story
From career coaching to revolutionizing higher education student support
Parachute Founders Curt Olivares and Anthony Veverka noticed over 95% of the participants enrolled in their Career Accelerator programs were from historically underrepresented groups who hadn’t received adequate support from their schools. Their findings led them to uncover a systemic issue in higher education: with student-to-counselor ratios averaging 2,700 to 1, providing individualized support is nearly impossible.
Curt’s experiences as a Latino first-generation graduate and Anthony’s higher-ed background inspired them to create an AI-driven solution. Once development is complete, the platform will provide individualized student support and tools for educators to improve outcomes.
As Parachute continues to innovate, the mission remains the same - to create a student-empowered higher education system that provides individualized support to all students, regardless of their background or what school they attend.
